Hi, I’m Theresa, the creative heart behind That’s Pretty Fancy Events.

My journey into design hasn’t been linear. With a background in healthcare and creative design, I’ve always been drawn to structure, detail, and visual storytelling.

During the uncertainty of the pandemic, what once fueled me creatively began to feel overwhelming, and I found myself searching for something that brought joy back into my work.  

 

That’s when I rediscovered balloons.  

 

What began as a creative outlet quickly became something more. Balloons gave me a way to design freely again, to experiment with colour, create beautiful installations, and bring moments of happiness to others when they were needed most.​  That experience reminded me how much I love creating.

Today, That’s Pretty Fancy Events has grown beyond one design element into an event design business, bringing together creative concepts, thoughtful styling, blooms, installations, and carefully chosen details to transform spaces and create memorable celebrations. We offer a boutique event design experience, creating thoughtfully styled celebrations where every detail is carefully considered.

 

I believe the most beautiful events are the ones that feel intentional and personal. Every celebration is an opportunity to bring your vision to life through colour, texture, creativity, and thoughtful design, allowing you to be fully present while I take care of the details.
